Preserving our heritage, building our future, and strengthening the bonds that unite Abiriba people across North America and beyond.
The Abiriba Communal Improvement Union (ACIU) North America Chapter was established in 1985 by a group of visionary Abiriba sons and daughters living in the diaspora. Recognizing the need to maintain cultural ties and contribute to the development of their ancestral home, they formed this organization to serve as a bridge between North America and Abiriba.
Over the decades, ACIU North America has grown from a small gathering of families to a robust organization with 14 active chapters across the United States and Canada, representing over 1,000 registered members.
Our journey has been marked by significant achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and cultural preservation, making us one of the most impactful diaspora organizations from the Igbo community.
